Hyderabad: The AIG Liver Conclave 2025, hosted by the Institute of Liver Sciences and Transplant Hepatology at AIG Hospitals, has concluded with a record-breaking attendance of over 3,000 delegates and faculty, marking a milestone in the history of hepatology conferences in India.

The two-day conclave, held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), featured an intensive scientific agenda including didactic lectures, case-based discussions, and live transmissions of advanced procedures in endohepatology and interventional radiology. The event drew leading experts in hepatology, gastroenterology, hepatobiliary surgery, and transplant medicine, alongside young trainees seeking exposure to cutting-edge practices.

Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospitals, described the success as a turning point: “The overwhelming response to this conclave is a testament to the growing recognition of hepatology as a critical discipline in India. This is not just an academic event, but a platform to translate science into practice and ensure innovations reach patients quickly and effectively.”

The scientific program was led by Dr Mithun Sharma, Director & HoD, Institute of Liver Sciences and Transplant Hepatology, AIG Hospitals, who served as Organising Secretary. “Our aim was to bridge cutting-edge science with everyday clinical challenges in a case-based format.
