GVL thanks PM for Rs 19k-cr deal to HSL

Visakhapatnam national spokesman and Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao on Thursday hailed the decision of the Ministry of Defence to award Rs 19,048 crore contract to Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) in Visakhapatnam for construction of five Fleet Support Ships and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his initiative to promote Atma Nirbhar Bhrat by encouraging indigenous production.

After a visit to HSL and interacting with its Chairman and Managing Director Cmde Hemant Khatri, he said the contract will enable encouragement to greater skill learning and job opportunities by HSL.

Narasimha Rao held discussions with the CMD about HSL’s operations, performance and visited various facilities at the premier shipbuilding yard.
