FTCCI hosts seminar on 50th GST Council Recommendations

Hyderabad Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) organised a seminar on '50th GST Council Recommendations' here on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Meela Jayadev, President of the FTCCI, said that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council conducted its 50th meeting on 11th July 2023 in Delhi. The Council has made several important recommendations.

While delivering the keynote address, Sandeep Prakash, Chief Commissioner of Customs and Central Tax, Hyderabad Zone, said: "The GST Council is making compliance much easier. The GST collection has seen a sizeable increase at above Rs 1.5 lakh crore on a monthly basis."

Speaking about the recommendations of 50th meeting, Mankoskar Surendrakumar Chandrakant Rao, Commissioner- Central Tax, Medchal Commissionerate, said: "The Council has not increased the compliances. It has made several efforts to reduce fake invoices. The much-awaited GST Tribunal will come soon."

Sudhir VS, Chair, GST & Customs Committee- FTCCI, said that the Federation is arranging such seminar after every GST Council meeting to bring awareness among it's members, stakeholders and public at large.
