Crompton unveils 38 new appliances

Hyderabad: Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd has unveiled a comprehensive range of 38 models in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The new launch comprises of appliances such as chimneys, gas hobs, built-in ovens, built-in microwaves, and dishwashers. It is also setting up premium exclusive brand outlets 'Crompton Signature Studios' for offering product and brand experience to its consumers.

Crompton is launching built in kitchen appliances in Hyderabad with the opening of three stores called Crompton Signature Studio and our fourth store will be launched next week. Hyderabad is the fifth city in launch sequence. In the coming weeks, these products will be launched in the top 10 metros across India, says Nitesh Mathur, Vice President - New Business, Crompton.

He said, "Crompton has built a deep understanding of its target consumer segment and will target them with a differentiated product range. We aim to become one of the top three players in the segment in the coming three years. Leadership is in our DNA and we are looking forward to winning this segment with our differentiated value proposition."

"After deep research, Crompton ventured into this business, we realised that there are lot of pain areas in the kitchen which the women at home endure where they spend extensive time, like penetration of chimneys is low in India impacting the women's health. We realised no brand addresses these pain areas, 40 per cent of the unmet need is available, which no brand is addressing," Mathur said.

"Our R&D management which has the best expertise to create solutions for Indian market, addressed them and could roll out best products, with chimney which makes 50 per cent less sound and have an auto on, which is patented and switches on when the heat generates. The gas hob has a timer and sets a time to cut off gas. We have a robust after sales service with service training academies," he added.
