As the festive season gathers momentum, Cheers Group has unveiled the Kadamba Single-Malt Whisky World Cask X-Mas Edition, a limited-release expression crafted to capture the warmth and indulgence of Christmas celebrations.

Designed as a premium gifting option, the award-winning whisky combines craftsmanship, festive flavour profiles and distinctive packaging aimed at both new whisky drinkers and seasoned connoisseurs.

The Christmas edition has been matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, lending it a rich and layered character.

Tasting notes include dried fruits, cocoa, toffee, gentle spices and soft oak, resulting in a smooth and well-balanced dram that reflects the spirit of the season.

The whisky is presented in an exquisite cut-glass 750 ml decanter bottle, housed in a Christmas-themed canister, underscoring its appeal as a celebratory gift.

Christmas edition whiskies are traditionally produced in limited quantities, and the Kadamba X-Mas Edition follows this tradition with a festive design and seasonal flavour profile.

The use of select casks and holiday-inspired notes makes it a collector’s item as well as a centrepiece for Christmas gatherings.

Speaking about the release, Ashwin Balivada, CEO of Cheers Group, said the limited-edition single malt reflects the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and premium presentation. “This beautifully crafted decanter bottle and Christmas cracker-style canister make it ideal for gifting, sharing or savouring. It captures the true spirit of our award-winning Kadamba Single-Malt whisky,” he said.

Founded by Dr Mohan Krishna Balivada, Cheers Group has built a strong presence in the alco-bev industry, with a portfolio of 120 brands and over 300 national and international awards. Alongside the Kadamba Single-Malt series and Three Monkeys Single Malt, the group also markets Scotch labels such as Labrodog 12-Year-Old and Labrodog Decade, as well as GinSin London Dry Gin. The group is currently valued at approximately Rs1,000 crore.

Dr Balivada described the X-Mas Edition as a whisky of “rare depth and warmth,” highlighting its notes of dried fruit, vanilla and gentle spice, complemented by soft sherry sweetness and delicate oak. “Smooth, rich and beautifully balanced, this is the spirit of Christmas, bottled,” he said.

Kadamba continues to expand its global footprint, having recently entered the Canadian market following successful launches in the US, UAE, Europe and Asia, in addition to its pan-India presence. Inspired by the ancient Kadamba dynasty of Goa, the brand employs a distinctive humidity ageing process influenced by the Goan ocean breeze, contributing to its unique character.

As part of its growth plans, Cheers Group is developing a carbon-neutral distillery, innovation hub and visitor centre in Goa, reinforcing its ambitions to strengthen Kadamba’s position in the global whisky market while promoting Indian whisky tourism.
