Combining tons of experience into strategic innovation, Patrick Austin has established himself as an industry authority in commercial roofing and waterproofing. He is the President & CEO of Austin Roofing & Waterproofing in Canada, and Austin Roofing America in the U.S. His experience has allowed the two firms to take on high-volume, complicated projects while maintaining the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

Austin was raised in Windsor, Ontario, with an early interest in competitive athletics that imbued him with a sense of hard work and responsibility. Soccer was the center of his life, and he played at high levels, including with the Ontario FC Nationals. The commitment and team orientation he learned as an athlete translated into essential skills for leadership and operations management.

Austin attended St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Secondary School and obtained a diploma for Business and Marketing from St. Clair College His education provided him with the understanding of business basics, strategic planning and operational management necessary — essential skills to apply toward either entrepreneurship or executive leadership.

Austin, young as he was, had an entrepreneurial spirit. He started Pat’s Lawncare & Maintenance, a residential and commercial business in Windsor, while still in high school. The company later diversified into other lines, including government property and automotive facilities like tool and mold plants. During this time, he learned to manage teams and coordinate operations, developing strong client relationships. Some valuable lessons for scaling a business right were gathered while growing and successfully selling this company.

To learn the techniques and policies necessary for installation and execution of projects in the field, Austin began working at Austin Roofing & Waterproofing as a laborer in 2013. By immersing himself in all aspects of the business, he developed an understanding of operations that would inform his decisions as a leader later on. He was appointed Vice President in 2016 and named President and Chief Executive Officer in late 2024.

Austin was also responsible for the company’s growth into marquee commercial, industrial and agricultural projects. In 2022, he oversaw the build of the Parks and Recreation Facility for The Township of Plympton-Wyoming followed by several roof projects for multiple large scale private equity firms. The following year he managed the complete roof restoration of the World Fuel & Sky Service facilities at Ottawa International Airport. Austin managed a five-year, multi-phase roofing project for Canada Brick’s manufacturing plant in 2025 that was followed by work on restoration of a heritage building in Markham, Ontario. He was a devoted contractor particularly Green For Life Environmental as the leading management for maintenance and servicing at industrial locations during early 2026.

Austin Roofing & Waterproofing is a fourth-generation company with 40 years of experience. Services which include: flat roof restorations, fluid-applied waterproofing systems and single-ply membrane installations. Austin has remained on its growth trajectory, catering to Fortune 500 and privately owned companies alike and expanding into new Canadian markets like Calgary.

Austin Roofing America a child of 2024 it was an important movement and involved cross-border operations. This company uses Canadian-developed roofing and waterproofing technologies to offer its services for commercial and industrial applications with the same quality, safety and efficiency. Austin achieved the strategic alignment of Canadian and American operations in this role, which has been a touchpoint for him that embodies his vision of consistent performance across geographies.

Innovation is now a cornerstone of Austin’s workplace character. In the year 2025, He obtained a patent also for construction tool technology objectively evaluated at more or less forty-three point seven million United States dollars. His relentless efforts toward advancing technology and practical improvement in the industry continue to make him a type of tool and mechanism developer for the roofing trade, all with an eye on not just efficiency but safety and performance in roofing building projects.

Austin, based out of our Toronto, Ontario office, is actively involved in overseeing the strategic direction of our Canadian and U.S. operations. On top of his full-time professional career he also sponsors youth sports teams, hospitals and mentorship programs for would-be tradesmen and athletes to give back to local communities. His dedication to philanthropy illustrates a focus on shaping future generations and giving back to the communities that nurtured him.
