Hyderabad: State-owned aerospace major Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) showcases its expanding civil aviation portfolio at Wings India 2026, being held at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31.

The highlights of HAL’s participation will include the H-228 commuter aircraft, the Dhruv New Generation (NG) helicopter and the Super Jet (SJ) 100 regional aircraft, which made its formal debut at the biennial civil aviation show.

“HAL is steadily expanding its civil aviation footprint, and the showcase of the Dhruv NG, H-228 and the SJ-100 trinity at Wings India reflects our focused thrust on strengthening regional connectivity, civil utility operations and future-ready aircraft programmes, while reinforcing India’s journey towards self-reliance in civil aviation,” HAL Chairman and Managing Director D K Sunil said.

HAL located at Hall A, stall number 27, where it displayed scaled models of the Dhruv NG, H-228, H-228 Amphibian, SJ-100, Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) Civil variant, along with line replaceable units (LRUs) and aviation accessories designed to meet the evolving needs of civil operators.

A key attraction at the HAL pavilion is the static display of the Dhruv NG, H-228, SJ-100 and the SJ-100 Aurus business jet. HAL is collaborating with Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) for the manufacture of the SJ-100 aircraft as part of efforts to strengthen India’s ‘Make in India’ capabilities in the civil aviation sector.

The static display complemented by customer demonstration flights of the Dhruv NG and H-228 aircraft, aimed at showcasing their real-world performance, safety and operational versatility.

In addition, HAL set up digital product kiosks to provide visitors insights into aviation components, accessories and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities. The company also plans to sign multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with industry partners during the event.
