‘Direct flight from Vizag to Bangkok will boost trade’

Visakhapatnam Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) president Karenendra S Jasti has sought introduction of a direct flight from Visakhapatnam to Bangkok by Thai Airways.
With the revival of the Thai Airways back to Hyderabad, Jasti urged to consider a direct flight from Thailand to Visakhapatnam in the near future for facilitating exchange of culture, business and tourism. He was speaking after receiving the ‘Thailand Andhra Pradesh Friendship’ award from Royal Thai Consul General Nitirooge Phoneprasert .
At a function held by Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai in Hyderabad, the awards were given to recognise and honour public and private organisations, institutions as well as individuals from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that have made outstanding contributions to strengthening the bilateral relations between Thailand and the respective two Telugu States over the years. On the occasion, Jasti received the award for the significant contribution to advancing the excellent bilateral relations between Thailand and Andhra Pradesh. “FAPCCI is extremely delighted to be honoured here and I, as the president of that organisation is happy to receive this award and exactly a year after Thai Chamber and Indo Thai Chamber signed an MoU with FAPCCI under the leadership of Nitirooge Phoneprasert in Thailand,” Jasti stated in a release.
