Yamaha, Electriq partner for e-scooters in Hyd

Hyderabad: Yamaha Motors leasing company, Moto Business Service India (MBSI) announced its partnership with Electriq, a Hyderabad-based two-wheeler EV company, for two-wheeler asset management services.

The launch of the partnership will take place with 1250 units of e-scooters and 50 units of e-cycles. These vehicles will be taken on rent by delivery executives from Swiggy and Zepto for short distance deliveries. Under this tie up, Yamaha plans to manage 5,000 more vehicles across Hyderabad and other cities during this fiscal year.

Shoji Shiraishi, Managing Director, MBSI said, "We are excited to officially kick start our operations in the EV sector in Hyderabad by partnering with Electriq. We will continue to onboard electric vehicles across multiple cities and generate employment avenues for the youth of India."
