We had the opportunity to test it out for a frenzied, fast and thrilling drive at NATRAX the world's most renowned automobile testing ground. This Golf GTI proved to be enjoyable and, of course, the conditions were well-controlled and it's not going to be easy to duplicate the experience on normal roads.

Let's begin with the look. The GTI isn't screaming to be noticed and yet it's got the unmistakable "I'm fast and I know it's attitude. The red accents on the grille and the signature honeycomb fog lights speak of performance with an edgy German accent. You can also see that illuminated VW logo on the front. When you enter, you'll feel like you're in the cockpit of a top German car. Seats that are well-bolstered (a GTI tradition), red accents everywhere, GTI badge on the steering wheel, embossed on the seats and an 12.9-inch touchscreen that is angled toward the driver and a console with a digital interface that has a look straight from Forza Horizon and a steering wheel which begs you to grip the wheel tightly and go at insane speed.

Today, you can enjoy options like ADAS, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 7-speakers, an electric sunroof, and the such. However, what's missing are two things I believe ought to have been included as normal.

Then, we drove the car on NATRAX's high-speed test track, as well as the track for handling tests at NATRAX and there were no distractions at all. Even though we only had a short time with the car but there were some aspects that immediately stood out.
