Tata Motors has been able to do this consistently for the third time. Tata Nexon sold better than all cars from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Mahindra in November.
The Nexon not only became the best-selling car in India with 22,434 sales last month but also completed a hat trick after being the best-selling car for two months in a row (22,083 in October and 22,573 in September). The continuous performance of the SUV shows how it has gained more trust, popularity, and value among Indian consumers.
Nexon sold more than 22,000 units monthly which indicates a strong demand in the market
The demand for Nexon is evidenced by its performance in three months above the 22,000-unit mark. Usually, such sales are not seen in the very competitive sub-4m compact SUV segment, where Maruti Suzuki is the undisputed king.
A recognized winner in the market for years
Nexon has been no stranger to success stories. It was India's best-selling SUV for three years:
FY22: 1.24 lakh units
FY23: 1.72 lakh units
FY24: 1.71 lakh units
FY25 was also good with 1.63 lakh registrations but there was a small drop. In FY26 (YTD), Nexon has already crossed 1.30 lakh units, thus cementing its position even more strongly.
GST 2.0 Price Cuts Give Nexon Massive Edge
One of the key factors that led to the recent upswing is the GST 2.0 price adjustment that resulted in the Nexon being priced lower by as much as ₹1.55 lakh.
The big price reduction has not only created a strong position for Nexon against the competing SUVs but also against hatchbacks of the premium segment. With the ex-showroom prices starting now at ₹7.32 lakh, the buyers consider the Nexon to be a high-value product that exceeds its segment in performance.Wide Powertrain Line-up Appeals to Every Type of Buyer
Nexon, the versatile compact SUV, has a wide powertrain line-up, which speaks in favor of it being the most attractive option. The different engine and gearbox combinations are as follows:
1.2L turbo petrol with manual, AMT, and DCA
1.2L petrol–CNG with trunk-friendly twin-cylinder technology
1.5L diesel with manual and AMT options
The diverse portfolio makes it possible to find a Nexon that fits every budget and driving preference.
Nexon.ev Strengthens Tata’s Lead in the Electric Market
The Nexon.ev is still one of the most reliable Indian electric SUVs.
The line-up offers:

5-Star Safety Continues to Be a Big Selling Point
Safety has always been a strong point for Tata, and the Nexon is no different.
The ICE and EV versions of the car have both been awarded 5 stars by Bharat NCAP, thus making them the safest options in the segment.
The company now has a range of 5-star models, including the Altroz, Punch.ev, Curvv, Harrier, Safari, etc.
