The company said the GST on commercial vehicles has been cut to 18 percent, aimed at boosting India’s transport and logistics sector.
Price cuts will vary across vehicle categories:
♦ Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs): ₹2.8 lakh – ₹4.65 lakh reduction
♦ Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCVs): ₹1 lakh – ₹3 lakh reduction
♦ Buses & Vans: ₹1.2 lakh – ₹4.35 lakh reduction
♦ Small Commercial Passenger Vehicles (SCVs): ₹52,000 – ₹66,000 reduction
♦ SCVs & Pickups: ₹30,000 – ₹1.1 lakh reduction
Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, emphasized the company’s commitment to lowering costs for customers and facilitating fleet modernisation by passing the entire GST benefit. He said the move aligns with the government’s vision of strengthening the country’s economic infrastructure.
Tata Motors further encouraged customers to book vehicles early, particularly with the festive season approaching, to maximise savings.
The firm expects this step to reduce the total cost of ownership for fleet operators and small businesses, enabling greater adoption of modern and cleaner mobility solutions.
