Bengaluru: Ola Electric, India’s largest electric vehicle company, maintained its leadership in the EV 2W segment and has cemented its pole position with 40 per cent market share for the month of June. Despite a decline in overall industry sales due to the reduction in subsidy, Ola Electric registered close to 18,000 units in June (as per Vahan data), maintaining its stronghold as the leader in India’s EV 2W sector.

Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola, said, “Ola has been successful in gaining market share and has maintained healthy sales volumes during an otherwise slow month. Our effective cost structures, strong supply chain, and robust in-house manufacturing have enabled us to absorb much of the impact of subsidy reduction thereby keeping our product prices highly competitive and accessible. As we enter July, we are excited about our upcoming portfolio expansion with the S1 Air, which will make EVs much more accessible and easy to own.”

Ola is actively augmenting its offline presence through the establishment of numerous Ola Experience Centers (ECs) throughout India to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. The company recently launched its 750th EC and has plans to further expand to 1,000 by August. These centers offer customers a wide range of services at one convenient location with 90 per cent of Ola's customers residing within 20 kilometers of an Ola Experience Center.

With the EV revolution being at the heart of Ola, today the S1 is the most compelling EV proposition in the 2W segment in the country. With the revised subsidies coming into effect starting June, Ola S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1,39,999, S1 (3KWh) at Rs 1,29,999, and S1 Air (3KWh) at Rs 1,09,999.

Ola revolutionized urban mobility by making it available on-demand for over a billion people across three continents. Today, Ola continues to move the world to sustainable mobility through its ride-hailing platform as well as through advanced electric vehicles manufactured at its Futurefactory, the largest, most advanced, and sustainable two-wheeler factory in the world.
