Mahindra’s popular flagship SUV, the XUV700, is set for a major refresh, and fresh spy shots have now given us a glimpse of the upcoming facelifted version. The camouflaged test mule, recently spotted during road testing, hints at a series of design upgrades and possibly new features.

What’s New in the XUV700 Facelift?

The most noticeable change in the facelifted XUV700 is its redesigned headlight unit. The split LED headlamps appear to have a sharper, more futuristic layout, aligning with Mahindra’s evolving design language. The LED DRLs have also been tweaked to add a more aggressive look.

Another key update is the reworked front grille, which now sports a bolder, more imposing appearance. While much of the front bumper is still under wraps, subtle changes to the air intakes and fog lamp housings are expected as well.

Retaining Its Core Strengths

Though the test mule was heavily camouflaged, the overall profile and silhouette remain largely unchanged, suggesting that Mahindra is focusing this facelift on aesthetic improvements rather than a complete overhaul.

The XUV700 is already praised for its:

ADAS safety suite

Twin-screen digital cockpit

Petrol and diesel engine options

Premium interior finish

These elements are expected to continue in the facelifted version, possibly with added tech upgrades or improved materials.

Possible Feature Additions

While nothing is confirmed yet, Mahindra may introduce:

New alloy wheel designs

Updated infotainment UI

Enhanced connected car features

More driver-assistance systems

Interior updates, including new color themes or trim options, are also likely.

Expected Launch Timeline

Although Mahindra hasn’t made an official announcement, industry insiders believe the XUV700 facelift may debut by late 2024 or early 2025, just in time to rival updated models from Tata, Hyundai, and Toyota.

With a sharper front-end and expected tech enhancements, the Mahindra XUV700 facelift aims to retain its crown in the premium SUV segment while keeping up with evolving market demands.
