New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has achieved a significant milestone with its best-selling SUV, the CRETA, surpassing 1 lakh bookings within 3 months of its launch.
The new Hyundai CRETA has garnered customers' praise for its cutting-edge technology, segment-defining safety features, exhilarating performance, and benchmark-setting comfort and convenience offerings. Notably, variants with sunroof and connected car features have contributed 71% and 52% respectively to the overall bookings, indicating the evolving preferences of young Indian consumers.
Mr Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., expressed his excitement about the achievement, stating, "The response to the recently launched new Hyundai CRETA has been overwhelming, with over 1 lakh bookings in just 3 months since its January 2024 launch. The popularity of sunroof and connected car variants showcases the changing aspirations of young Indian customers."
The new Hyundai CRETA follows Hyundai's Global Design Language of 'Sensuous Sportiness', appealing to tech-savvy customers who enjoy exploration. It boasts a bold design with a commanding road presence and segment-leading features, such as an advanced Level 2 ADAS safety suite and a powerful 1.5-liter Turbo GDI engine, redefining the SUV landscape in India.
Safety is a top priority for Hyundai, reflected in the new CRETA's comprehensive safety features. It includes 36 Standard Safety Features and over 70 Advanced Safety Features, providing occupants with a cocoon of safety. Some key safety features include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and more.
The new Hyundai CRETA also introduces Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 19 features like Forward Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and more.
