In a move to solidify Karnataka’s position as a hub for clean mobility, Deputy Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy launched a new digital portal dedicated to promoting EV manufacturing and investment in the state. The initiative is part of the government’s broader push to accelerate industrial growth and reduce carbon emissions.

Opening Doors for Investment

The newly launched platform will serve as a single-window interface for investors, manufacturers, and startups involved in the electric mobility sector. It is designed to streamline approvals, facilitate land allotment, and provide real-time support for companies interested in setting up EV-related facilities.

Kumaraswamy emphasized that the portal is not just about easing business operations, but also about positioning Karnataka as a global player in EV production, from battery manufacturing to vehicle assembly.

“This portal will open new avenues for investment and innovation. We want Karnataka to lead the clean mobility revolution,” said the Deputy CM during the launch.

Focus Areas of the Initiative

The government plans to leverage the platform to boost activity across various segments of the EV ecosystem, including:

Electric vehicle manufacturing

Battery production and recycling

Charging infrastructure

Research and development hubs

It also aligns with the state’s renewed focus on Make in Karnataka and green industrial growth.

Backing Industrial Expansion

The EV portal launch comes as Karnataka gears up to revamp its industrial policy, with special incentives for clean energy and sustainable transportation projects. Officials believe this move will significantly improve investor confidence and draw both domestic and international players to the state.

With this strategic digital rollout, Karnataka takes a major step forward in establishing a robust EV ecosystem, paving the way for jobs, innovation, and cleaner urban mobility in the years ahead.
