Honda Cars India Introduces Festive Editions: 'Elegant Edition' for City and 'Elite Edition' for Amaze

Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has unveiled special festive editions, the 'Elegant Edition' for the mid-size City sedan and the 'Elite Edition' for the compact Amaze sedan, starting at Rs 12.57 lakh and Rs 9.04 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom. These limited-edition models are being introduced in limited quantities to entice buyers ahead of the festive season. The Amaze Elite Edition is based on the VX variant, while the City Elegant Edition takes its foundation from the V variant. Both editions offer a range of exterior paint options and come with manual or CVT gearbox choices.

In addition to the festive editions, other variants of these popular sedans are available with special festive discounts across India as part of 'The Great Honda Fest.' These offers will be valid until October 31, 2023.

Yuichi Murata, Director of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd, expressed, "The new editions of City and Amaze aim to offer enhanced styling and convenience with added features at an attractive price. Festivals give us a reason to celebrate and always have a special place in our lives. In addition to the launch of these new limited editions, we have also rolled out exciting offers and promotions on other variants of City and Amaze to make the new car purchase more rewarding for all our customers."

The Honda City Elegant Edition, based on the V variant, is priced at Rs 12.57 lakh for the manual version and Rs 13.82 lakh for the automatic version, ex-showroom. This limited edition features a wireless charger, illuminated scuff plates, an Elegant Edition insignia, a tailgate spoiler with LED lighting, and special seat covers with "Elegant" badging.

On the mechanical front, it retains the same powertrain options as the standard model, including a 1.5-liter petrol engine and a 1.5-liter petrol hybrid Atkinson cycle engine with two electric motors.

As for the Honda Amaze Elite Edition, it starts at Rs 9.04 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 9.86 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top trim. This edition can be equipped with either a manual or automatic gearbox. It features front fender garnish, LED trunk spoiler, tyre inflator, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), among other enhancements. It also includes Elite badging, anti-fog film on ORVMs, step illumination, a sliding front armrest, and Elite Edition seat upholstery.

The Amaze is powered by a 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine and offers transmission options in the form of a CVT unit with 18.3 km/l and a 5-speed manual transmission with 18.6 km/l fuel efficiency. The vehicle has been updated to meet BS6 Phase-2 or RDE standards and complies with E-20 regulations.
