Addon’s races to get innovation in business

Craze for automobiles and experimenting different designs and techniques on his car enthused him to make this his profession. "I always had the zeal to participate in car races, but could not take that step due to certain commitments in life. My mother has been my inspiration and she had always asked me to follow my dreams no matter how difficult the situations might turn. I got motivation and confidence with those words and launched this startup, where I can slowly achieve my dreams," Shashank tells Bizz Buzz,

Addon's speciality as the name suggests is to do changes or add fixtures to make give an attractive and stylish look. Shashank says, "We personally design and customise the exterior and interior of the vehicle by giving it an elegant and aristocratic feel."

About the startup, Shashank says, "It was not an easy for me to start Addon's as I had to face lot of problems related to space and money. My family and friends encouraged and helped me, by investing some amount to start my business. I had to make quite a lot of plans before entering this field as it had both risk and profit."

Marketing plays a vital role in any business, Shashank says, and adds. "First I started marketing Addon's by asking my near and dear ones to get their vehicles if they require any repair or modification. This way my work started getting recognised in the market and customers slowly started approaching us."

When asked what kind of feedbacks he gets from customers, Shashank says with a smile, "I get both positive and negative feedbacks. When I get positive response from customers I feel happy and in high spirits. While negative comment helps me in improving my work and focusing on what best I can do to make my customer satisfied."

Business is not just an idea or thought as it requires effort, money, time and inputs to make it real. "Covid has changed the life of people and lifestyle. What I observed is many lost their jobs during this period, as result, I decided to be an entrepreneur so that I need not blame anyone for the adversities nor do I have to fear for losing my job. The change to start an independent business is good but there is a lot of risk involved in it. I advise people who want to begin a startup should meet the right source, who could guide them and then proceed further. Government has also started t-hub and we-hub which is helping people to embark on a startup and the best way to start a business is to go through an authorised source so that you don't face any issues once the business begins," says Shashank

Recently, Shashank organised a Rubber to Road at MAPS Tarmac Autocross event in Hyderabad. "This event brought together amateur and professional autocross racers from Hyderabad. With cars ranging from Maruti, Honda, Skoda, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, Mercedes and Lamborghini, the event was open to anyone wanting to race and have an adrenaline rush." says Shashank "The day was filled with the ear splitting sound of screeching tires against the tarmac at Chicane Circuit, Hyderabad. The participants raced in the FMSCI approved MAPS Tarmac Autocross. The event was hosted by Merrick Adventures, to provide a safe, secure and legal way for drivers to race their cars around a sanctioned autocross track," adds Shashank

"With tremendous support from Club GT Hyderabad, Wrench Club, Quick Shift Customs, Team Dragzilla, Garage 124 and over 170 entries, which include some of the renowned participants of this sport, this program set a benchmark for the Motorsport Culture of Hyderabad," says Shashank.

"At the start of the event, every car was inspected, registered and designated a car class, depending on the type of vehicle and the size of the engine. The drivers also received a detailed safety brief which helped them get familiar with the rules and regulations of racing in a sanctioned FMSCI autocross event," claims Shashank

"It's a safe way to drive fast and have a ton of fun. It's not about how fast your car is in these types of competitions, it's about how you handle your car through tight corners and to strategically approach turns with the most momentum possible," expressed Shashank.

The event was the first step to success for Shashank. He says "The fastest driver of the day was Armaan Ebrahim with a blistering time of 47.199 seconds, driving a Porsche GT3, and separated by 600th of a second was Puansh Kamineni with 47.845 seconds. Chief Scrutineer, appointed by FMSCI, Satya Srinivas also enjoyed the event and encouraged that more such programs should be planned in Hyderabad."

To be a successful business person family and work should go hand in hand, because both are important in our lives. Shashank says, "Both hardwork and dedication is important to become a well-known businessman. I have a dream to be so, but at the same time I spend time with my family who always support me. Never miss or ignore your family no matter how busy you are as an entrepreneur or any other profession," concludes Shashank.
