New Delhi: Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) has cut the price of excess natural gas supplied to certain industrial customers to Rs 82.95 per standard cubic metre (SCM) from Rs 119.90 per SCM, effective 0600 hours on March 16.

The city gas joint venture of Adani Group and TotalEnergies said the revision reflects a decline in upstream gas prices and is aimed at passing on the benefit to customers while ensuring stable gas distribution during the current supply constraints.

India’s LNG supplies have been disrupted following the halt in ship movements through the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing West Asia conflict. The revised price applies only to “excess gas” supplied beyond contracted volumes.
