Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Incubation Council popular as A Hub and TiE Andhra Pradesh (TiE-AP) joined forces to host an insightful panel discussion and deliberation forums on ‘Future of work: Industry 4.0, innovation and 21st century skills.’

This collaborative initiative was inspired by India’s presidency of G20 in 2023 and aimed to facilitate meaningful conversations about the evolving landscape of work in the digital age.

A recently held panel discussion brought together influential members from Visakhapatnam’s vibrant startup community, who provided valuable insights into the future of work and its implications for industry, innovation and skill development. Moderated by Ravi Eswarapu, CEO of A Hub, the panelists represented companies at the forefront of leveraging futuristic technologies and driving transformation in their respective sectors. The panel discussed important topics such as skills for the future, transitioning to digital era, resistance to change and digitisation, emphasising early work experience and importance of embracing startup and innovation.

The event also featured distinguished keynote speakers who provided valuable insights into the future of work and its impact on the local community.

GVMC Commissioner CM Saikanth Varma delivered the keynote address, highlighting various initiatives undertaken by GVMC to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of city services. He emphasised the importance of sensitivity to local needs, sustainability, and scalability and encouraged young entrepreneurs to submit any ideas to GVMC’s Sustainability and Resiliency Unit (SRU), fostering partnerships for technological advancements and city improvement.

Managing Director of Alcove Partners Srinivas Savaram moderated a group discussion session where participants engaged in brainstorming sessions to deliberate challenges and present ideas and solutions. Themes were drawn from discussions of the panel earlier.

Prof V Krishna Mohan, Registrar of Andhra University in his remarks emphasised the importance of preparing students for the evolving challenges of the new work environment.
