Summercool Home Appliances plans to create 100-150 new jobs in 2 years

Mumbai, Jul 20
Summercool Home Appliances, a Ghaziabad-based company, commenced its operations in 1992, starting from North India with a clear vision to provide durable, affordable, and energy-efficient cooling solutions to the masses. Today, it has grown from a regional venture into a pan-India brand, offering a comprehensive range of home appliances designed for the Indian household.
At the time of its inception, the company operated with a small yet committed team of just 5-6 individuals, including the founders, technicians, and assembly line workers.
The journey of the company began with seed capital raised entirely through the founders’ personal savings and family support.
As of 2025, the company has grown into a large-scale organization with over 300 direct and indirect employees and thousands more engaged through its widespread network of distributors, dealers, and service partners.
Backed by a ₹30 crore investment sanctioned under the UP Government’s Industrial Promotion Scheme, the company is set to expand its manufacturing capabilities and workforce. Over the next two years, the company plans to create 100-150 new jobs across various segments.
The company currently records an annual turnover of ₹300 crore, backed by consistent double-digit growth year after year. Its key revenue drivers include air coolers, fans, geysers, and a growing range of kitchen appliances like induction cooktops and mixer grinders.
Talking to Bizz Buzz, Abhishek Gupta, Director of Finance and Operations at Summercool Home Appliances says, “Summercool’s success mantra lies in its sharp focus on the needs of India’s middle and lower-income households, often overlooked by bigger brands chasing premium metro markets.”
While these larger players concentrated on high-end offerings, the company has built its foundation on affordability without compromising on quality.
The company’s primary revenue comes from its flagship category of air coolers, followed by fans (ceiling, pedestal, and table), water heaters/geysers, kitchen appliances like mixer grinders and induction cooktops, and a range of seasonal and rural-focused appliances. The company operates on a volume-driven, cost-effective model that prioritizes affordability and regional needs. This approach has proven highly feasible and sustainable, especially in India’s mass market. With rising demand from rural areas and strong government support for local manufacturing, the company’s revenue stream is well-positioned for steady growth and long-term resilience.
Summercool is actively expanding both its production capacity and workforce as part of its next growth phase. With a ₹30 crore investment under the UP Government’s investment promotion initiative, the company is enhancing its manufacturing base, aiming to boost production capacity by 30–40%, particularly for high-demand products like air coolers and geysers. Additionally, the brand plans to increase its headcount by 20–25%, with focused hiring in R&D to drive innovation in smart appliances.
While it has not yet launched an IPO, the company is currently not looking for strategic funding options.
