Update Your EPFO Mobile Number Online in Minutes — Here's How
No need to visit EPFO office. Easily change your mobile number online using the UAN portal. Follow these simple steps to update and receive SMS alerts.

Employees contributing to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) can now update their registered mobile number through the EPFO's official portal without visiting any office. This streamlined digital process enhances convenience and security for EPFO subscribers.
All critical information related to PF accounts, including monthly contributions and withdrawals, is regularly communicated via SMS to the member's registered mobile number. Mobile numbers are also crucial for OTP-based verifications during service requests on the portal.
Steps to Update Registered Mobile Number
1. Visit the official UAN portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
2. Log in using UAN credentials (UAN number, password, and captcha).
3. In the top menu, click on "Manage" and select "Contact Details."
4. On the screen, current registered mobile and email details will be visible. Tick the checkbox beside "Change Mobile No."
5. A new input section will appear. Enter the new mobile number twice.
6. Click on "Get Mobile OTP."
7. Enter the OTP received on the new number and click "Verify mobile OTP."
8. Next, select "Get Authorization Pin." A 4-digit PIN will be sent.
9. Input this PIN in the given field and select "Save Changes."
Once the update is completed, confirmation will be sent via SMS to the newly registered number.
The EPFO continues to digitize its services to minimize the need for physical visits, making processes such as KYC updates, withdrawals, and now mobile number modifications more user-friendly and accessible.
