India’s gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections hit a historic high of ₹22.08 lakh crore in the financial year 2024–25, recording a 9.4% year-on-year (YoY) growth over the previous fiscal year, according to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
“In FY 2024–25, GST recorded its highest-ever gross collection of ₹22.08 lakh crore, with an average monthly collection of ₹1.84 lakh crore,” the press note stated.
