Actor Yash recently visited the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, to seek blessings from Lord Shiva ahead of his upcoming Ramayana shoot. The actor, dressed in a grey shawl, participated in the early morning Bhasmarti ceremony, a revered ritual at the temple. Yash was accompanied by priests and expressed his happiness about the visit, stating, "I am very happy. I wanted the blessings of Lord Shiva, as I am a huge devotee of Shiva. I prayed for the happiness and prosperity of everyone."

This visit comes as Yash prepares to begin his role in Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film, which stars Yash as Ravana, Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, is set to release in two parts in 2026 and 2027. The actor’s visit to the Mahakaleshwar Temple is part of a tradition he follows before starting any new project.

Yash's participation in the sacred rituals was alongside singer Arijit Singh and his wife, who also visited the temple on Sunday. According to reports, Yash is expected to begin shooting for Ramayana later this month, after completing a major schedule for his current project, Toxic.
