Director Sujeeth, known for delivering high-octane actioners, spoke about the future of his latest pan-India release, OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, while addressing ongoing speculation about a potential sequel featuring Prabhas.
Sujeeth, who collaborated with Prabhas on the 2019 action spectacle Saaho, emphasized his longstanding friendship with the actor. “Prabhas anna has been a good friend since my Saaho days. Working with Pawan Kalyan garu in OG has been a new and exciting experience. We respect each other greatly, but it’s too early to discuss bringing them together for OG 2,” he said.
The director further explained the timeline for a sequel. “My priority is completing the script for OG 2 first. Only then will I approach actors. The process will take time, so there’s no urgency,” Sujeeth added.
On the subject of the film’s intense action sequences, Sujeeth clarified the approach. “The violent scenes were not included for shock value. OG is a gangster drama, and the intensity of violence stems directly from the story. We accepted an ‘A’ certificate and even blurred a few shots to soften particularly graphic moments,” he noted.
Sujeeth first gained recognition with Run Raja Run and later made a mark with the pan-India release Saaho. After a three-year gap, he has returned with OG, which has opened to strong box office numbers.
