Will Heavy Rain Affect Coolie and War 2 Showtimes in Hyderabad?

The India Meteorological Department issued a weather warning for Hyderabad on Thursday as two high-profile films — Coolie and War 2 — open across city screens, forecasting heavy rainfall and urging the public to take precautions.

The IMD placed Hyderabad under a yellow-category warning for Aug. 14, saying heavy rain is likely at isolated places and thunderstorms with gusty winds may occur. National-level bulletins from the IMD list Telangana among states expected to see extremely heavy rainfall on Aug. 13-14.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation issued a special advisory warning that rainfall could reach 80–150 mm within 36 hours, and asked residents to avoid waterlogged areas and follow official updates. Emergency teams are on standby and public services have been asked to prepare for disruptions.

Local forecasts show daytime temperatures near 27 degrees Celsius and overnight lows near 22 degrees Celsius, with humidity above 80 per cent and a high chance of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday. Commuters should expect wet roads and possible delays.

Moviegoers who booked tickets for Coolie and War 2 must allow extra travel time and check transport and weather updates before leaving. Traffic authorities and civic agencies have been put on alert to manage possible waterlogging and traffic slowdowns during peak showtimes.

City employers in IT and other sectors have been asked to consider flexible work arrangements where feasible as the system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to sustain the rain spell through the weekend. Residents in low-lying areas were told to secure valuables and be ready to move to safer locations if required.
