Both installments of the Baahubali series — Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion — have been taken off Netflix just weeks before the premiere of Baahubali: The Epic, set for cinemas on October 31, 2025.
Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the new film merges highlights from the original two movies with additional, unseen sequences. The story continues to explore the legendary rivalry between Baahubali (Prabhas) and Bhallaladeva (Rana Daggubati) while presenting the saga in an expanded format.
Industry sources suggest that Netflix’s removal of the films is a calculated step to generate anticipation for the upcoming release, which arrives a decade after the franchise first captivated audiences. No official announcement has been made by the streaming platform regarding the change.
Baahubali: The Epic is not a standard re-release. Rajamouli reportedly supervised extensive technical enhancements, blending iconic scenes with new footage. The film’s runtime is expected to be around four hours, promising a theatrical experience aimed at fans of the original saga.
