Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan set the screen ablaze with power-packed action in War 2.

The eagerly anticipated War 2, which was directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, is getting ready for its August 14, 2025, theatrical release in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. Kiara Advani plays the female lead in the film, which stars Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and Young Tiger Jr. NTR in their Hindi film debut. It promises to be a huge multi-starrer experience.
The film features excellent technical work, including cinematography by Benjamin Jasper, songs by Pritam, background score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara, and editing by Arif Sheikh. It was written by Sridhar Raghavan and features dialogue by Abbas Tyrewala. War 2 is one of the most ambitious films in recent Bollywood history, with a lavish budget of about ₹400 crore.
The movie went through an international censor screening in Dubai prior to its release. Umer Sandhu, who calls War 2 a "sure-shot hit," expressed his opinions. He highlighted the action scenes and dance performances as the main highlights of Jr. NTR and Hrithik Roshan's remarkable chemistry. He said that Hrithik gives a powerful performance, and Jr. NTR dazzles with his multifaceted talent in his Bollywood debut. The suspense and climactic twist of the movie were hailed as its greatest strengths.
Sandhu thought Kiara Advani's role was restricted to romance and glitz, though. He said that the film is well suited for the Independence Day weekend and praised Ayan Mukerji's direction, the compelling screenplay, and the upbeat background music. Sandhu gave the movie four stars out of five.
Whether War 2 turns out to be a blockbuster remains to be seen, but the buzz and early reviews suggest audiences are in for a thrilling ride.
