Actor Vishal Krishna Reddy announced Wednesday that he will marry actress Sai Dhanshika on August 29, confirming long-standing speculation about their relationship.
The couple addressed the media during a press interaction for their film Yogi Da, where they made their relationship official. The announcement comes after years of private friendship and recent intensification of personal bonding between the two.
The 47-year-old actor, who has been a consistent presence in Tamil cinema, revealed he is entering this new phase of life with Dhanshika, who is 12 years younger than him. The 35-year-old actress, also known for her work in the Tamil film industry, said they have shared a friendship for over 15 years that gradually evolved.
“Initially, we were hesitant to reveal anything. But once the reports were out, we felt it was time to acknowledge the truth,” Dhanshika said. “We’ve known each other for a long time. He’s been supportive through my low points, and that means a lot.”
She spoke about how their bond deepened recently and led to the decision to marry. “Over time, our conversations became more personal, and we felt there was more than just friendship. We mutually agreed that marriage was the next step.”
During the media briefing, Vishal expressed gratitude for the support of Dhanshika’s family, especially her father, who was also present. “With her father’s blessings, I’ve chosen Dhanshika to be my life partner. I’m fortunate,” he said.
In a lighter moment, the actor joked about Dhanshika’s action scenes in *Yogi Da*, noting, “Her kicks are intense—I might need stunt training myself.”
