Varanasi Glimpse May Debut With ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’; Trailers for ‘The Odyssey’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Also Expected
Reports suggest that SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi introduction video may premiere with Avatar: Fire and Ash, alongside trailers for The Odyssey, Avengers: Doomsday, and Steven Spielberg’s UFO film. Details on the title dispute and latest updates.
Fans anticipate multiple major trailer releases with Avatar: Fire and Ash, including a possible first glimpse of SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi.

Anticipation is reaching new heights for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, and fresh reports suggest that the film’s theatrical release could bring a lineup of major global trailers — and possibly a big reveal from Indian cinema as well.
Industry chatter indicates that early previews of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, and Steven Spielberg’s upcoming UFO drama may be attached to the film’s release worldwide.
Rajamouli–Mahesh Babu’s ‘Varanasi’ Introduction Video Could Be Included
According to reports circulating on MJ Cartel’s X (formerly Twitter) handle, the first introduction video of SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s action-adventure epic Varanasi may also screen alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash in theatres.
While fans are buzzing with excitement, these reports are yet to be confirmed. Neither the makers of Varanasi nor the Avatar team has issued an official statement.
The first glimpse of Varanasi, released in November, introduced Mahesh Babu as Rudhra, an explorer navigating a high-stakes, time-travel mission to save humanity. The film also features Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles.
Title Dispute and Possible Renaming
Anticipation is growing, but Varanasi is still entangled in a title dispute. It seems that producer Subba Reddy has lodged a complaint claiming that he applied for the title Varanasi two years back, which has led to the Telugu Film Chamber intervening.
Initially, it was reported that the team of Rajamouli might seek to negotiate for the title rights; however, the latest news suggests that no such negotiations happened. The filmmakers are now thinking of changing the name of the Telugu version to “Rajamouli’s Varanasi” - it will keep the film's recognition in the whole country and at the same time will not get involved in any court issues.
The title has already been extensively advertised throughout India, and thus the team is reportedly one of those who would not want to select an altogether different name that might result in people getting confused.
