Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest Telugu action-drama, They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth, has maintained strong box office numbers but recorded a decline on its second Monday. Released on September 25, the gangster thriller earned Rs 1.40 crore on October 6, marking the lowest single-day collection since its premiere. The film’s cumulative domestic revenue now stands at Rs 184.20 crore, according to trade analyst Sacnilk.
The movie opened with impressive figures, drawing Rs 169.3 crore in its first week. Subsequent collections reflected a steady decrease over the second weekend, with Friday bringing in Rs 4.75 crore, Saturday Rs 4.6 crore, and Sunday Rs 4.15 crore.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, They Call Him OG registered an overall occupancy of 22.16% across Telugu theatres. Morning shows saw 20.45% occupancy, afternoons 22.75%, evenings 23.03%, and night shows 22.41%. Analysts noted that a drop on Monday was anticipated after the film’s strong weekend turnout.
They Call Him OG features Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera, a gangster returning to Mumbai to confront his past and rivalries. Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi made his Telugu debut as the antagonist. The ensemble also includes Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy.
During a success meet, Pawan Kalyan confirmed plans for both a prequel and a sequel to They Call Him OG. The actor cited audience response and box office performance as key reasons for expanding the story universe. He also shared that while the screenplay initially seemed unclear to him, he developed a strong connection after seeing his son’s enthusiasm for the project.
