‘The Kerala Story 2’ Trailer Divides Viewers with Its Disturbing Narrative on Religion

A strong and disturbing trailer of ‘Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond’ has been released by the

makers. The movie is a sequel to the movie ‘The Kerala Story’, which was released in 2022. The

story was based on the most talked-about stories. This second part helps the viewer to deeply go

deeply into the lives of the characters’ lives. The Kerala Story 2 trailer controversy says that

the movie will cover different events across states and personal struggles.

The trailer of the movie starts with a strong warning. India could turn into an Islamic state within

25 years.

Scene 1

This scene takes the viewer into Rajasthan. A dejected Hindu family visits a police station to file

a POCSO case. According to the family their 16-year-old daughter was forced to change her

religion. The scene covers the fear and pain of the girl’s parents.

Scene 2

After that, one more scene is added. The scene is shifted to Madhya Pradesh. A young Hindu

woman is scammed into marriage and later made to convert. The scene depicts the pain and

loneliness of a girl.

Scene 3

The third part of the Vipul Shah film trailer comes back to Kerala, where a Muslim man asks

his Hindu girlfriend to live with him. When the girl refuses to change her religion, tension starts.

The trailer of the movie shows strong confrontations from the beginning to the end. There are

questions on faith, identity, religion, conversion and personal liberty.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, ‘The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond’ tells the emotional

story of three Hindu girls. After the huge success of ‘The Kerala Story’, the sequel focused on

moving beyond comfort, silence, and denial. The movie is set for release in theatres on February

27, 2026.
