Thamma Box Office Collection Day 2: Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna Film Hits Rs. 40 Crore

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest horror-comedy, Thamma, has made a strong start at the Indian box office, raking in Rs. 40 crore net over its first two days.
Released on Tuesday, October 21, the film opened with an impressive Rs. 22.50 crore and collected around Rs. 17-17.50 crore on its second day, according to early estimates. The Diwali holidays and an extended six-day weekend are expected to further boost collections. Industry experts predict the movie could cross Rs. 90 crore by the end of the first weekend, and if it enjoys strong gains over Saturday and Sunday, Rs. 100 crore is within reach. A Rs. 200 crore net lifetime would mark a highly successful run for the film, given its star cast and scale.
Box Office Performance by Day
Day Box Office Collection (Net)
1 Rs. 22.50 crore
2 Rs. 17.50 crore
Total Rs. 40 crore
Thamma is performing particularly well in Delhi-UP, Rajasthan, and Mysore, with Eastern circuits also showing strong response. With no major Hindi release until Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2, the movie is expected to enjoy a clean run through mid-November.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film has received mostly positive audience feedback, signaling a successful continuation of the Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU). The previous installment, Stree 2, went on to collect a staggering Rs. 600 crore, while Munjya, featuring new faces, crossed Rs. 100 crore. The next film in the franchise, Bhediya 2, is scheduled for release on August 14, 2026.
With strong word-of-mouth and festive momentum, Thamma is well on its way to becoming another hit in the MHCU series.
