On December 1st, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and director Raj Nidimoru were married at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. The wedding was a private event that was attended only by the couple's closest friends and family. It was held according to the yogic Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha tradition. She further elaborated that the meditation is about giving blessings of peace, love, and goodwill to all beings and that the positive energy she was getting was a return of that practice. She made it clear that her social media interaction was personal and that there was no team or PR managing her responses.

Their working relationship turned into a friendship, which subsequently blossomed into love. The pair managed to maintain their relationship mostly out of the public eye, yet their occasional appearances together hinted at their bond.
