₹14 Lakh Per Episode? Here's What We Know
According to recent media reports, Smriti Irani is being paid a staggering ₹14 lakh per episode for her role in the new season. This marks a massive leap from her initial earnings on the original series, where she earned just ₹1,800 per episode back in the early 2000s.
In a previous interview with Curly Tales, Irani shared that she was earning ₹1,200–₹1,300 per day during the original run. Recalling her early struggles, she said, “I was working as a cleaner at McDonald's for ₹1,800 a month. So ₹1,200 per day felt like a luxury back then.”
