Sleeper Hit Laalo Rakes in 100 Crore, OTT Release Still Unclear

The Gujarati film Laalo – Shree Krishna Sada Sahaayate has surprised many by being a sleeper hit and its gross collection of more than Rs. 100 crores has already surpassed the expectations of many. This film was produced with a very modest budget of only Rs. 50 lakhs. Film people were absolutely stunned by the movie's success which was mainly driven by powerful word-of-mouth advertising. It was a leading title on BookMyShow for almost two months, ticket sales reached around 1.6 million.
Ankit Sakhiya is the director of this drama which features a lot of actors but mainly Reeva Rachh, Shruhad Goswami and Karan Joshi. The story of the movie is about a rickshaw driver who is caught in a deserted farmhouse, facing his childhood while getting divine support from Lord Krishna, from which he gets release and change of heart.
In spite of the film's exceptional box office performance, there has been no announcement about its digital streaming or OTT release date. The audience who has been following the movie's journey is now more than eager to see it. According to industry insiders, the film has been approached with some serious bids for its OTT rights and, on the other hand, dubbing of the film in various languages is also likely to be a good step to reach audience across India.
Film's production was by Manasi Parekh, Parthvi Gohil, Manifest Films, Jay Vyas Productions, and Ajay Balvant Padariya with Smmit Jay composing the music. At first Laalo – Shree Krishna Sada Sahaayate had a very slow opening at the box office and then it was rapid ticket sales resulting in it becoming the highest-grossing Gujarati film of all time.
