Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 5: Salman Khan’s action thriller slows down

Salman Khan's latest action-packed film Sikandar witnessed a promising start at the box office but is now seeing a sharp decline in collections. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
Box Office Performance
Sikandar had an impressive opening on March 30, raking in Rs 26 crore on its first day (Sunday). The momentum carried into Day 2 (Monday), where the film saw an 11.54% jump, collecting Rs 29 crore. However, from Day 3 onward, the numbers took a hit, with earnings dropping to Rs 19.5 crore (-32.76%). The decline continued with Rs 9.75 crore on Day 4 (-50%). By Day 5 (Thursday), the film earned just Rs 2.14 crore, bringing its total net collection in India to Rs 86.39 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
About the Film
Co-produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Salman Khan Films, Sikandar revolves around a young man battling a corrupt system. The film’s gripping trailer garnered over a million views within 24 hours, generating significant buzz before its release.
Competition & Comparisons
Despite the hype, Sikandar has struggled to match the box office numbers of recent releases. The Malayalam blockbuster L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, had a Rs 22 crore opening and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally faster than Sikandar.
With the weekend ahead, it remains to be seen if Sikandar can regain its momentum or continue its downward trend at the box office.
