Appearing alongside Deepika Padukone and Karan Johar for a session titled The Journey: From Outsider to Ruler, the trio discussed everything from life to cinema, leaving the audience in splits with their banter.
Karan Johar, who hosted the session, shared a hilarious anecdote involving his son and SRK’s youngest, AbRam. The filmmaker recalled, “My son once came to me and said, ‘Shah Rukh uncle trains AbRam before Sports Day, why aren’t you training me?’ Can you imagine me training my son for a race? It’s a little frightening, honestly.”
Seizing the opportunity for a playful jab, SRK fired back, “Karan, Deepika’s an athlete; it’s in her genes. First, you come and get trained by us. Once you learn how to run a 100-meter race, then you can train your kids!” The playful roast left everyone in laughter.
Karan responded with a grin, “I don’t know when this turned into a roast, but okay. Whatever you said, I accept it with respect.”
During the conversation, SRK also touched on fatherhood. He shared, “You can never be lonely if you can make your children laugh. And if you don’t have kids, make your parents laugh instead.” His words added a heartfelt moment to the otherwise fun-filled session.
