Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has showered praise on Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, the Malayalam blockbuster starring Kalyani Priyadarshan as India’s first female superhero. Sharing her reaction on Instagram, Samantha said she had “goosebumps” watching Kalyani bring Chandra to life on screen.
Samantha’s Reaction to Lokah Chapter 1
Taking to Instagram Stories, Samantha wrote:
“Watched Lokah and wowwww!! What an experience. The visuals, sound, and action — every frame felt alive, and the world-building completely pulled me in. But what stayed with me was seeing our first female superhero on screen. Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra gave me goosebumps. Huge respect to the entire team — you’ve created something truly special. This one is going to stay with me for a long time.”
She also tagged producer Dulquer Salmaan and co-star Naslen, acknowledging their contribution to the film.
Dulquer later reshared her post, replying:

About Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra
Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, the film introduces Indian cinema’s first female superhero, inspired by mythology and folklore. Alongside Kalyani Priyadarshan, the cast includes Naslen, Sandy, Arun Kurian, Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, Raghunath Paleri, Vijayaraghavan, Nithya Shri, and Sarath Sabha.
The film has already rewritten box-office records, crossing ₹100 crore worldwide in its opening week, making it the highest-grossing female-led film in South Indian cinema.
Samantha’s Upcoming Project
On the work front, Samantha will next be seen in Raj & DK’s series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The show is currently under production and is expected to premiere in 2026.
