Tamil film Subham, produced by Samantha Prabhu, is scheduled for an OTT release on JioHotstar starting June 13, 2025. Initially, the movie will be available exclusively in Telugu.
Directed by Praveen Kandregula, Subham is a comedy horror featuring a unique storyline centered around supernatural events linked to a popular television serial. The film marks Samantha Prabhu’s debut as a director, adding a significant milestone to her career.
The plot follows Srinu, a cable operator from Bheemli, whose wife, along with several other women in the village, exhibits strange behavior nightly at 9 PM. As the women appear possessed, Srinu and his friends embark on a journey to uncover the cause behind these unusual happenings. The film blends elements of horror and comedy, catering to family audiences.
Subham stars Harshith Malgireddy, Shriya Kontham, Charan Peri, Shalini Kondepudi, Gavireddy Shrinivas, and Shravani. The technical crew includes Mridul Sujit Sen as cinematographer, Ram Charan Tej handling production design, and Dharmendra Kakarla as editor. The story is penned by Vasanth Mariganti, with music by Clinton Cerejo and background score by Vivek Sagar.
