Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' has become a global box office phenomenon by crossing the ₹550 crore mark worldwide within 10 days.

Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has turned into a full-blown box office storm, crossing the ₹550 crore mark at the worldwide box office within just 10 days of its release. The high-octane espionage thriller directed by Aditya Dhar has been running in theaters for a record number of days and has entered the list of India's largest ever Hindi movie blockbusters.

The movie, which was released on December 5, has made an incredible ₹552.70 crore globally, according to the producers. The net collection of the film in India is ₹364.60 crore, with the gross amount for India being ₹430.20 crore. The total amount collected from the overseas markets has also been very good, with a contribution of ₹122.50 crore to the total haul.

Dhurandhar's second Sunday (Day 10) was a historic day, as the movie earned ₹58.20 crore nett in India, which is the highest ever Sunday collection for a Hindi film. This grand achievement was preceded by an excellent ₹53.70 crore on the second Saturday and ₹34.70 crore on the second Friday, thereby highlighting the film's remarkable momentum.

The first week of Dhurandhar saw a huge ₹218 crore nett opening and, unlike many other big releases, its collections became even stronger as the days went by. The makers called the run “unprecedented and record-shattering,” stating that the earnings of each day exceeded those of the day before from the first Monday onwards.

The production team reveals that Dhurandhar has claimed the biggest second Friday, second Saturday, and second Sunday in the history of Hindi cinema. The cinema halls are full, there are midnight shows and 24-hour screenings in different markets and the trend of Dhurandhar gets stronger every day.

Dhurandhar, a sleek and intense spy thriller, is a collaboration of Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh, the latter playing the leading role. The film centers around cloak-and-dagger intelligence operations against the backdrop of real life geopolitical and terror incidents. These incidents include the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. A considerable part of the story is set in Lyari, Karachi, which is notorious for gang wars and violent turf battles.

The film was created by Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios in collaboration with Jyoti Deshpande's Jio Studios. It features a remarkable cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi. The movie has polarized reactions from critics and the public but the overwhelming box office response has solidly established Dhurandhar as one of the biggest cinematic successes of the year.
