R-Truth Taunts John Cena With Entrance Song and Gear, But Cena Defeats Him in Seconds
WWE fans witnessed an unforgettable moment at Saturday Night's Main Event when Ron Killings, better known as R-Truth, entered the arena mocking his longtime idol, John Cena.
The 53-year-old WWE veteran made a dramatic entrance using Cena’s iconic theme song. Dressed in Cena’s signature “Never Give Up” gear — customized with his own face — R-Truth even performed Cena’s trademark “Hustle, Loyalty, Respect” salute to the crowd, sparking surprise and laughter across the venue.
Cena, already in the ring, appeared stunned by the parody entrance. He mouthed a few words at R-Truth, clearly amused yet slightly irritated.
But the light-hearted moment quickly turned serious. As soon as the match began, Cena took control. After a deceptive low blow — missed by the referee — Cena delivered a devastating Attitude Adjustment. Just seconds later, the match ended with Cena pinning R-Truth for the 1-2-3 count.
Despite being in Tampa, Cena’s adopted hometown, the crowd showed surprising support for R-Truth, with several fans chanting against the WWE Champion.
Social Media Reacts
Fans on social media were quick to react to the unexpected twist:
“JOHN CENA RETAINS. WHAT A REALLY FUN MATCH, SHORT, BUT FUN. How can anyone hate on that match???” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Made everyone think he was going to be a good guy and then he kicked R-Truth right where the sun don’t shine,” added another.
Following the match, Cena was spotted backstage in conversation with Jey Uso, further fueling speculation about future storylines.
