Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection: Day 28 Update - Allu Arjun's Film Surpasses Baahubali 2’s Record

Pushpa 2 has made a remarkable impact at the global box office, surpassing the Rs 1788 crore mark in just 28 days. Starring Allu Arjun, the film is now the second-highest grosser in Indian cinema history, following Aamir Khan's Dangal.
On January 1, 2025, the film earned Rs 13.15 crore domestically, as per industry tracker Sacnilk, bringing its total nett domestic box office collection to Rs 1184.65 crore. The Hindi version alone contributed Rs 9.5 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 3.1 crore.
The distribution of the domestic earnings is as follows:
Hindi: Rs 774.65 crore
Telugu: Rs 330.53 crore
Tamil: Rs 57.65 crore
Malayalam: Rs 14.14 crore
Kannada: Rs 7.6 crore
The filmmakers announced on Tuesday that Pushpa 2 had accumulated Rs 1760 crore worldwide by Day 26. With the film earning a total of Rs 20.85 crore in the last two days alone, it quickly overcame the Rs 28 crore deficit to eclipse Baahubali 2’s previous record.
Comparison with Previous Grosser
Aamir Khan's Dangal remains the highest-grossing Indian film, grossing Rs 2070 crore globally after a successful run, particularly in overseas markets like China. In comparison, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 earned Rs 1030.42 crore in India and a total of Rs 1788 crore globally.
Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office and will have an uninterrupted run until the release of Game Changer on January 10, a film starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani that is expected to impact Pushpa 2’s collections as it positions itself as a pan-Indian release.
