Prabhas’s The Raja Saab Resumes Shoot in Hyderabad, Set for Sankranti 2026 Release

Prabhas’s much-awaited film The Raja Saab is back on track after a brief pause in production due to a union strike. Directed by Maruthi, the film is among the most anticipated Tollywood releases of 2026.

Shooting Resumes Smoothly

With industry issues resolved, the team resumed filming today in Hyderabad. Prabhas has joined the schedule, and important sequences featuring the actor will be shot through the end of August.

The next schedule begins on September 17 in Kerala, where the makers are planning to film Prabhas’s grand introduction song.

International Shoot Plans

After the Kerala schedule, the cast and crew will head abroad to shoot two songs. Once these are completed, the production is expected to wrap up by October 2025.

Sankranti Release Locked

Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, The Raja Saab is slated for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026, just in time for the Sankranti festival.

The film features Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhhi Agerwal as the female leads, while Sanjay Dutt will be seen in a pivotal role as Prabhas’s grandfather.

With star power, a festive release window, and high expectations, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be one of the biggest attractions of Sankranti 2026.
