The digital rights of Ram Charan's upcoming film Peddi have reportedly been acquired by Netflix for a staggering Rs 105 crores, according to industry sources. The deal is said to encompass streaming rights for all language versions of the film.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, known for his debut film Uppena, Peddi marks his foray into the action-sports genre. A teaser clip showcasing a distinct cricket shot had previously gone viral, boosting anticipation for the film across digital platforms.
Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead opposite Ram Charan. The ensemble cast also includes Kannada star Shiv Rajkumar, Mirzapur actor Divyenndu, and veteran Jagapathi Babu in major roles.
Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman is scoring the soundtrack. The film is being bankrolled by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 27, 2026. An official announcement from the production house confirming the digital partner is expected to be made through upcoming promotional material.
