Fans stepped in to support OG’s overseas distributor after last-minute delays in delivering the film’s content for its USA premiere.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming gangster action drama They Call Him OG is all set for a global release on September 25, 2025. Directed by Sujeeth and featuring Emraan Hashmi as the main antagonist, the film is one of the most awaited Telugu releases of the year. However, its international premiere faced unexpected hurdles, forcing distributors to turn to fans for last-minute support.
Trouble for OG International Release
According to a report by The Times of India, Prathyangira Cinemas, the North American distributor of OG, encountered delays in receiving the film’s content. While the first half of the movie was delivered on September 23, the second half arrived late, creating a major logistical challenge just hours before premiere shows.
To avoid cancellations, the team sought assistance from Pawan Kalyan’s loyal fan base, who reportedly stepped in to help transport hard drives across theaters in record time. Their efforts ensured the film could be screened as scheduled.
Tamil Version Dropped in the USA
Due to the delay, the distributor had to cancel the Tamil version screenings in North America. The film will now only be released in Telugu and Hindi across overseas markets.
