Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated period drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu hit theatres today, July 24, and is already receiving positive feedback from audiences. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A M Jyothi Krishna, the film follows the story of Veera Mallu, who is tasked with recovering the Kohinoor diamond and rescuing a city from Mughal forces.
On the release day, Pawan Kalyan shared a heartfelt note on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, emphasizing that the movie celebrates Sanatana Dharma. He highlighted the historical injustices faced by Hindus during Aurangzeb’s reign, mentioning the Jizya tax as a stark reminder of oppression. “Hari Hara Veera Mallu boldly unmasks this injustice, exposing the erasure of Hindu suffering and the looting of India’s wealth, like the Kohinoor’s theft. With unwavering resolve, this saga celebrates Sanatana Dharma and the courage of our unsung heroes who defied tyranny,” he wrote.
The film’s music is composed by MM Keeravaani, and it stars Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Sathyaraj, and Jisshu Sengupta alongside Pawan Kalyan. Speaking to India Today, the actor clarified that the film, though rooted in historical elements, is a fictional tale of Veera Mallu’s daring journey to Delhi to retrieve the Kohinoor amid a rivalry between Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah and Aurangzeb.
