The latest news confirms Paresh Rawal returned the signing money with 15% interest after his exit from Hera Pheri 3. Bollywood Hungama reported that Paresh Rawal had been offered ₹15 crore for his role in the movie. The report indicates the actor had "reservations" about one specific clause within the term sheet.
The actor paid back both the signing amount and interest plus an extra amount. According to Bollywood Hungama's source Paresh Rawal returned his signing amount of ₹11 lakhs plus 15% annual interest. Paresh Rawal received interest in addition to extra money for leaving the series. The contract stipulated that Paresh Rawal received ₹11 lakhs as his signing amount. The total fees agreed upon for him amounted to ₹15 crores.
The actor's remaining fees would only become payable after the film's release which will occur next year or in 2027 according to the contract. According to the term sheet Hera Pheri Paresh Rawal wal would receive the remaining payment of ₹14.89 crores one month following the movie release. The experienced actor expressed concerns regarding the specific term in the agreement. Principal filming for the movie is scheduled to begin next year. The release date for Hera Pheri 3 would not occur before late 2026 or possibly until 2027. According to the report Paresh would need to wait almost two years to receive the remaining payment for his acting fees.
The team representing Akshay Kumar alerted Paresh about potential severe legal repercussions.
The sudden exit of Paresh from the project last week stunned both the film industry and fans who have awaited the third installment of the franchise for almost two decades. Akshay Kumar who produces Hera Pheri row took legal action against Paresh for his activities.
Pooja Tidke of Parinam Law Associate stated to news agency PTI that severe legal consequences are expected. It's of course hurt the franchise. We informed him through a letter about the substantial legal implications that exist. The production team has spent money on the cast and crew together with high-profile actors and logistical equipment including trailer filming.
