Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 4: Sidharth Malhotra–Janhvi Kapoor Film Crashes With 65% Drop
Param Sundari box office collection day 4: Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s rom-com crashes on Monday with just ₹3.5 crore, recording a sharp 65% drop.
Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari struggles at the box office, earning only ₹3.5 crore on Day 4 with a 65% drop.

After a strong weekend debut, Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's romantic comedy Param Sundari is having trouble at the box office. On its debut Monday, the Tushar Jalota-directed movie saw a steep drop in box office receipts, which raised questions about its long-term prospects.
Box Office Collection on Day Four
Early estimates from Sacnilk indicate that Param Sundari made ₹3.5 crore on Monday, Day 4, for a total of ₹28.19 crore over the course of four days. The romantic comedy began the weekend with ₹7.25 crore on Friday and increased to ₹8.19 crore on Saturday and ₹10.25 crore on Sunday. However, Monday's earnings showed a sharp 65% decline from Sunday's figures.
Comparing Saiyaara
The performance of the movie is nothing compared to Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and released last month. Saiyaara, which starred newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, made ₹22.50 crore on its first Monday alone and reached the ₹100 crore mark in a matter of days. Param Sundari, on the other hand, is far from achieving such figures.
Concerning the Movie
A cross-cultural romance between a Kerala native (Janhvi Kapoor) and a Delhi boy (Sidharth Malhotra) is examined in Param Sundari. Aakash Dahiya and Rajeev Khandelwal play important parts in the movie as well.
Janhvi Kapoor revealed, "Sundari is very personal to me," in reference to her role. My own South Indian ancestry is reflected in her poise, quiet strength, and love for her roots. I hope the audience will share my emotional connection to her world, which I experienced while filming in Kerala amid such beauty.
Conflicting Opinions Boost the Battle
The movie has drawn criticism for its poor writing, lack of lead chemistry, and stereotypical depiction of Malayalis, despite its attempt to revitalise Bollywood's massy rom-com genre. Its journey has been difficult because of these factors as well as the fierce competition at the box office.
Param Sundari will now mainly rely on weekday hold and word-of-mouth to stay afloat due to the sharp Monday decline.
