The story is set four years after Your Fault. Nick and Noah accidentally meet again at the wedding of their mutual friends — Jenna and Lion. Nick has been able to get the position of heir to his father’s company but still carries the old wounds, and Noah has been building a stable career for herself. Their reunion triggers the emotions that they wanted to forget and patience and forgiveness will be tested between them.
The trilogy that is adapted from Mercedes Ron’s bestselling novels has gained popularity due to its emotional storytelling and character-driven romance. The film follows the main themes of Ron’s last book — reconciliation and closure — and at the same time, it adds layers of cinematic evolution to the characters.
Author Mercedes Ron gave a thumbs up to the adaptation, praising the acting of Guevara and Wallace and even suggesting spin-off projects. This gives director’s cut, an over-the-top-kids-movie version, the novelists are still making it real and the fans are still there.
